It's My Party

**This is a public service announcement: The post you are about to read, is OVERLOADED in pictures. Please be advised. You may now return to your regularly scheduled reading.**
Happy Birthday to this sweet little girl! We had her party the Saturday before her party-mainly because I go back to work Monday and didn't want the stress of it this weekend. Anyway we had a blast-it was H.O.T. but we had fun anyway! Lyllian taught little Sarah the proper way to eat a smash cake-you know all dainty like.

Even the birthday girl thought it was hot enough to eat ice right out of the drink bucket, and because I am mother of the year I took the moment as a photo opp and didn't try to stop her. Side note: she later tried to climb IN the drink bucket, I did stop that-ha!

This is the best picture I have of the table runners-they are bulap with giraffe print fabric. Yep, I made them with lots of help from my grandmother (ok-I won't lie-I had the idea she put it to action).

Some of our many friends that came and some more decorations. And the kids table that was covered in paper so they could color or eat the crayons-whichever they preferred.

Drink table and more friends!

We had toys-LOTS of toys-and yes, they were all pink!!! It was PINKALICIOUS afterall!

Tables with pink flowers and candles with pink jelly beans-my brother later told me that he ate the jellybeans at his table-what a goober-we had another bag inside that didn't have candle wax in them! Oh, and a puff in the tree-each tree/bush had one in it.

This is our gallery of pictures-I had one for each month behind the cake table and on the table I had her newborn, 6 months, and 1 year pictures framed in frames I made.

The oh so beautiful cake table minus the cake...

Is that arrangement not AH-SOME! Debbie at Debbie's flowers is amazing-she does all of our flowers (ok end commercial break).

Table with the A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. cake!!!!

The cake was compliments of Larissa Miller-my sorority big sis and wonderful cake designer! I sent her way to many pics of what I liked and said find something good-she made it look better than good and it tasted DELISH!!

Lyllian Grace with her proud parents (one very tired looking Mommy!).

The birthday girl with her designer hat and bib on from Ms. Natalie! She wore it like a pro too!

After taking awhile to figure out exactly what she was suppose to do with the big hunkin' cake in front of her, she decided she liked it. (sidenote-Mommy picked strawberry for the top/smash cake since it was her favorite).

And no party is complete with out presents, especially when you get to sit in the special "present-opening-chair"!!

Thank you to all of you that came to celebrate-please have a cake pop to take home! :)

Viva la Mexico...

Sorry this post has taken me so long to complete. First of all, we have a ton of pictures!! I didn't want to bore you with all of them, so I have picked a few of them. I was also very busy planning Lyllian's first birthday party. Anyway, my in-laws took us to Cozumel for 10 days! It was WONDERFUL!!!! We had a blast and I can't wait to go back. It was such a nice family atmosphere!

The pictures are out of order-sorry! I will tell y'all about each picture though ( I know that makes it all better :))

This is our resort from the pier area. It was beautiful! To the right of the beach is an infinity pool that Lyllian and I hung out a lot in while Daddy snorkel right off shore. She liked being able to see Daddy and he was able to see us.

Every night after dinner the resort put on a "show" in the open air theatre. Lyllian loved it, but usually fell asleep by the end-ha!
This is our little sun-kissed baby one day after hanging out at the beach and the pool!

During our break time from the sun, we took a little tme to read :)

Lyllian lurved playing peek-a-boo at the window to the balcony with Mommy. She got her first taste of Mango while in Mexico (in a popsicle form) and pineapple juice-she loved them both!
Kit and Stanton (Tim's brothers) became Mexican wrestlers while we were there! I never realized how popular wrestling was in Mexico-insane!

Tim and I got to hold some parrots! I actually let the parrot kiss me too-crazy! They are soooo soft!

This is our BEAUTIFUL beach baby!!

Again, with the mango popsicles, it actually had real pieces of mango and was a delish, all natural treat for the beach!

Kit and Stanton also loved the orange drinks at the authentic Mexican restuarant off the beaten path in town, we all did!
EVERYTHING is a jungle gym to Lyl, including the attached bench in the room!

This is my authentic Mexican food, best tacos I have every eaten hands down!!!! I LOVED IT! Our waiter spoke NO English and we really had to practice using our Spanish-- ah-mazing experience!

We had a jeep one day to go explore the island. This view is from Coconuts, the highest point on the island. They had wonderful guacamole and a breath taking view!!!

One of the many views from the road while driving down the coast in the jeep.

This is before we left, Lyllian was helping me pack. She really just wanted me to unpack so she could play in the suitcase-ha!
Add Video
Lyllian did a great job on the plane. On the way from Dallas to Cozumel she ended up with her own seat. She took the opportunity to catch up on her reading-ha!

She and McGuire built sand castles together! And she crawled ALL over the beach-thank goodness there weren't very many people on the beach and they all thought she was too cute!

I will leave you with this-an AH-MAZING Mexican sunset!!!

Basketball Jones

Before Lyllian was born, my dad gave Lyllian some pink Nikes and a pink basketball. I have been waiting and waiting for her to be able to wear her Nike kicks. She finally can! She even has no see ankle sock to go with them. I was worried she wouldn't be able to walk in them since we have really only been walking barefoot, but she did great!

Are they not the CUTEST!!

Lyllian has also recently figured out that Katey likes to lay under her bed while we play in her room. Nowadays she has to check under the bed to find Katey...

Surprise!!!

This little girl is quite the party animal!!!

On Saturday night I pulled off a SURPRISE party for my mom and her 50th birthday! She was SOOOO surprised!!! I even had it at her house. I had approximately two hours to decorate and get all of the food served, it turned out great! She never saw it coming!

We had a GREAT time and mom enjoyed every bit of it! And Debbie from Debbie's Flowers make the MOST AHmazing arrangement!!! She even painted the calalilies black for the purple and black occasion!

I hope your 50th birthday was awesome, Momma! You deserve it!!! Love you!

Happy 4th of July!
