Veggie Tales

Lyllian tried carrots for the first time tonight. She did exactly what I figured she would do. She has this look of confusion. I don't think she necessarily disliked them, I just don't think she really knew what to think of them. We attempted to give her one teaspoon and actually she ate it pretty well, I put about 1/2 of it in her mouth. She spit out some and whatnot. I was pretty impressed. Her ped told us to start with orange veggies since they have the most nutrients, so we started with the carrots. We will try these for three days before we introduce something else. I bought some squash and sweet potatoes to try too. After Christmas, before I go back to work I am going to start making our own baby food. I can freeze it, it will be cheaper, it seems super easy, and I personally feel like it may be healthier for her. Her daddy did take some video of her, so make sure you check it out...

Look at that messy baby! Kaylee didn't like carrots the last time I fed them to her... she made a terrible face and tried to spit them out. I was telling her doctor about it and she said to wait a week and try again because their taste buds are always changing.
